Wigan striker Mauro Boselli has joined Serie A club Genoa on loan until the end of the season.

25 years, Argentine, who has represented his country twice, joined Wigan after scoring 32 goals in 57 games for Estudiantes in accordance with the Wigan website. He does not want to repeat this form in England, but scored once in 12 games.

The loan agreement was confirmed by Wigan on Friday.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez said: "I am convinced that a player will return stronger and better. ... We need this opportunity to play."

Genoa can access permanently at the end of the season.
